

However, having set off on his first mission he finds out that Camp Haven is a disguised alien base training humans to fight for their domination. There, he is given a new name and identity ‘ Zombie’. Meanwhile, Benjamin, Cassie’s old flame from high school, manages to survive the three waves and finds a shelter in Camp Haven, an institution where young survivors are taught how to fight against the others.

One of the assaulters, Evan, whose perspective is the most controversial, feels pity about Cassie and treats her gunshot wound which brings the two into an alliance.

There are three main characters through whose narration a reader gets multiple perspectives on the same events. The first wave has shut off all the electricity in the world the second one has brought natural disasters like earthquakes, floods and climate change whereas the third one has caused a contagious disease blinding and exterminating humans. Mankind is about to face complete annihilation as a result of an alien invasion in the light of five phases of the extraterrestrial plan on the planet’s destruction, called ‘ waves’.
